I LOVE THIS MODEM THIS IS CISCO DPC3000 WORKS REALLY GOOD I HAD Motorola Surfboard SB5101 Cable Modem THAT I BOUGHT FROM WALMART, BUT DIDN'T WORK WELL SO I ORDER THIS MODEM IT WAS USED,BUT WORK OUT OF THE BOX! I ORDER THIS FOR MY SMALL OFFICE THAT HAVE COMCAST SERVICE. WITH DOCSIS 3.0 REALLY FAST AND EASY TO SET UP. I DON'T KNOW WHY OTHER REVIEW ARE NEGATIVE. IT DID WORK FINE FOR ME EVEN I BUYING USED. I RECOMMEND THIS DEVICE ANYONE WHO LOOKING FOR GOOD DEVICE WITH DOCSIS 3.0. WORK GOOD!

Bought this modem as an upgrade to my original surfboard modem. Also switched to comcast and wanted a modem compatable and would not be obsolete soon. Works great it did cycle a few timeswhen first installed but no problems.

I had a Motorola Surfboard that would hang up constantly. I researched Comcast and this was the one that supported the 3.0 standard. I called Comcast and they installed it on their end. I get 1 Gb throughput now where before I topped out at 300 kbs. I also upgraded my router to an airport which sped up the Mac connectivity, especially on wi-fi.
